The surface is refined to remove wear and even out the finish.

04

A penetrating sealer guards against future staining and moisture.

Common questions

Why does my travertine look dull and dirty?
Almost always a combination of worn sealer, dirt packed into open pores and etching from acidic cleaners. Cleaning plus honing and resealing reverses most of it.
Can etch marks be removed?
Light etching is honed out. Deep etching is improved, and if any faint marks remain we'll show you where and why.
How often should travertine be sealed?
Every 1–2 years in normal use; high-traffic or wet areas sooner. We test sealer performance during maintenance visits.
